We are committed to providing you with the best possible car rental services in Heraklion. When you want to travel around the area, renting a car is better than trying to navigate public transport (in a lot of cases, not all).

We know how important renting a car can be, which is why we offer a full insurance policy for our customers. However, it is important to understand what goes into a car rental, so let’s talk about what you need to know.

What Does the Insurance Cover?

Your typical car insurance policy covers nearly everything relating to the vehicle and your usage. In this case, the policy provides protection against all the standard issues - breakdowns, accidents, damage from other drivers, and things like it.

We have endeavoured to create a policy which works for pretty much everybody, and offers comprehensive protection. The policy has been the subject of careful revision and construction to make sure it offers the ideal amount of protection.

Thanks to our zero excess policy, if there is damage to the vehicle and you’ve followed all the rules, then you won’t be charged anything. Our zero excess policy has been designed to protect people from harm which means that we do everything we can to keep you from encountering any issues. The short answer is that if you follow the rules, we’ll handle any problems.

What the Policy Does NOT Cover

Our insurance coverage applies when you, as the renter, have agreed to the terms and conditions we’ve laid out (we’ll explain these to you). However, we reserve the right to call for compensation if the car has been damaged in certain circumstances.

If the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, you will be charged. You’ll also face compensation for damages if the car is used to tow a vehicle or other heavy object, and if it is driven off-road.

You will also be charged if you’re in violation of the traffic laws in Greece - our insurance policy will not cover illegal u-turns, overtaking, violations of the speed limit or ignoring stop signs.

You’ll also be charged if you park illegally, or attempt to transport illegal/flammable substances. If there is damage to the vehicle which has been caused by the negligence of you as the driver, the insurance will not cover the costs of repairs.

Final Thoughts

When it comes to your experiences with our rental service we operate on what we consider to be a pretty fair policy. If you take the time to follow the rules then you’ll find that it is easy to avoid excess costs. Naturally, if you do have any questions about what we can offer you, then you’re welcome to get in touch with us and a team member will be happy to give you a hand. At the end of the day, we want to make sure you have the best results possible.
